The Artemis Global Tracker (AGT) by SparkFun is a compact, globally-operable tracking device that integrates several advanced features for location tracking and environmental sensing. It includes the Artemis Module, Iridium 9603N Short Burst Data (SBD) modem, u-blox ZOE-M8Q GNSS receiver, and TE MS8607 pressure, humidity, and temperature sensor.

- The control board contains all electronics for operating the float and recovering it once it resurfaces. It includes
- Main processor
- ESP32-S2- chosen for its extremely low power draw on standby
- GPS module- determine position of float
- SWARM M138 Modem unit- to broadcast GPS location to help recover the float
